Admission requirements and how to apply
Prerequisites
for the Postgraduate Diploma,
Masters of Museum Studies
- a degree in earth sciences,
palaeontology, biology, geology,
history, cultural geography,
indigenous studies, education,
creative arts, archaeology,
art history, fine arts, cultural
studies, computing, medial,
anthropology or some discipline
relevant to museum studies,
OR - qualifications deemed
to be equivalent,
OR - relevant work experience
equivalent. Students with
relevant work experience
equivalent (approximately
5 years - to be assessed
in the application process)
may enrol in the Postgraduate
Diploma and after the successful
completion of Module 1 may
transfer to the Masters program.
NOTE - If you hold overseas qualification from countries where English is not the standard language of instruction, you must provide evidence of English language proficiency. For relevant information regarding necessary IELTS or TOEFL scores, etc., refer to the English Language Proficiency Table in the Coursework booklet or to the web page at http://www.international.mq.edu.au/study/postgraduate/application_info.html

For the Research MA or MSc based on Museum Studies, Doctor of Philosophy
For
a PhD you will need an Honours or
Masters degree.
For an MA or MSc you will need an excellent
undergraduate record.
