ELS maintains a collaborative relationship between its research priorities and the broader community and industry. We recognise our national and international responsibility in the area of Environmental and Life Sciences and the importance of fostering inter-disciplinary and inter-organisation collaborations not only to benefit our research interests but also to benefit our students with industry placements and internships.
ELS knows that Macquarie has an enviable location in the Macquarie Park technology corridor. The Macquarie Park technology corridor houses one of the largest congregations of biotechnology and pharmaceutical related companies in Australia, providing over 29,000 jobs and with a growth rate of approximately 800 jobs per year over the past 5 years in high-order industries. ELS benefits from a healthy relationship with a number of the companies in this technology corridor however we see it as a priority to strengthen these relationships.
