Q. Do you have to complete the graduate certificate or graduate diploma before enrolling in the Masters?

No, providing you have the relevant qualifications or experience to enter the Masters directly (see Entry Requirements). The program allows for flexible exit points from the degree with either a postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma if you are unable to complete the full Masters for some reason.

Q. Are there any residential schools for the units on offer?

Yes, some units do have residential schools or field trips associated with the unit material. However, because these are online units if students are unable to attend any of the residentials the lecturer will be able to provide alternative arrangements upon request. Students should contact relevant lectures and discuss available options.

Q. When are enrolments accepted into the Master of Wildlife Management (Habitat)?

Refer to UAC handbook or website (www.uac.edu.au) for more information on application processes, application fees and closing dates for applications.

Q. Is the Master of Wildlife Management (Habitat) a HECS based course?

Yes, this is a HECS based program for which you can either pay up-front or defer payment.

Q. What are the costs for enrolling in the Master of Wildlife Management (Habitat)?

Q. Can I obtain advanced standing for units completed at other universities?

Yes. Advanced standing can be gained for either core units or electives depending on the content of the original unit. If seeking advanced standing for an elective you cannot count units that have substantial overlap with units you are enrolling in under the program.

Q. How long will it take to complete the Master of Wildlife Management (Habitat)?

The Master of Wildlife Management (Habitat) is designed to be flexible with regard to completion time. Students may enrol in one unit per semester and complete the degree over 4 years. Alternatively, students may enrol full-time and complete the requirements of the degree in a year. This flexibility allows potential students with full-time jobs the ability to enrol and undertake further studies without jeopardising their current positions.
